Will laser hair removal get rid of my hair permanently?
Laser hair removal is known to reduce the growth of hair. The amount of hair reduction is typically
95% when treated with the recommended number of treatments. Depending upon factors such as your
skin type, the color and the thickness of your hair, the amount of hair reduction will vary. At Enhancing

Does laser hair removal work on blonde, grey and red hair? The laser that we use at Enhancing Light is technologically advanced enough to treat all types and
hair colors, including blonde, grey, red and brown hair, however, the treatment times may vary when
dealing with lighter colors.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
A: It truly depends on the patient. The treatment is often explained to feel like a warm snapping rubber
band. A topical anesthetic may be applied to the treatment area 30 minutes before treatment in order
to reduce discomfort.
What does skin tightening feel like? Skin tightening treatments are not considered to be painful, but some patients experience
discomfort.
What does skin rejuvenation feel like? Skin rejuvenation is often explained to feel like a warm snapping rubber band. Most patients
experience discomfort during the treatment. The laser in this treatment is drawn to pigment which can
make it more painful for some patients. A topical anesthetic may be applied to the treatment area 30
minutes before treatment in order to reduce discomfort.
Is there any down time with skin tightening or skin rejuvenation? There is no down time with the treatments we offer here, at Enhancing Light. Patients treated with
skin tightening and skin rejuvenation experience somewhat of a flushed face immediately after the
treatment which typically resides within 24 hours. Additionally, patients treated with skin rejuvenation
may experience a slight darkening of pigmentation which may persist and peel lightly over the following
week. A slight crusting may develop and then flake off within days for some patients depending upon
the skin problem and the sensitivity of the skin. Makeup may be applied immediately after the
treatments if needed.
How long is do I have to stay out of the sun after skin tightening and skin rejuvenation? For optimal results, it is suggested that you avoid sun exposure and use a sunscreen of at least 30 SPF
when outside in order to reduce any potential side effects as well as maintain younger looking skin and
reduce future damage.
How long will the results of my skin tightening and/or skin rejuvenation treatment last? For both, skin tightening and skin rejuvenation, the effects are cumulative. Results may last for years
depending upon the skin condition and the aging process. The improvements of both skin tightening
and skin rejuvenation are immediately visible and continue up to six months or more. Results may be
extended by engaging in follow up or maintenance visits.
Will dermaplaning my face cause the hair to grow back dark and course? The answer is simple, no. The stories we’ve heard of unwanted hair coming back thicker, dark, and
course after removing it is simply a myth and false.
Is there any down time associated with microdermabrasion and micro plus peels? There is no down time associated with microdermabrasion or microdermabrasion plus peels. The
treatment is very quick and has little to no downtime. The treated area may appear to be pink, but
typically fades within a few hours. Depending upon the skin type, patients with sensitive skin may
experience slight irritation to the treated area. Make up may be applied to the treated area
immediately after treatment to conceal any signs of the treatment.
Will my skin peel after a micro plus peel? Depending upon skin type, patients may experience a slight peel since the peel’s ingredients include
salicylic acid and typically resolves within days.
How long will the results from a VelaShape™ treatment last? The results from the VelaShape often last several months but vary depending upon the clients'
exercise and dietary habits. VelaShape™ will smooth out and reduce unwanted fat and cellulite,
however, does not reduce the body’s potential of creating and storing fat.
What does the VelaShape™ treatment feel like? Does the treatment hurt? Most patients find VelaShape™ treatments comfortable, like a warm deep tissue massage. The
treatment is designed to accommodate your sensitivity and comfort level. It is normal to experience a
warm sensation for a few hours post treatment. Your skin may also appear redder than usual for several
hours.
Do I have to exercise will doing VelaShape™ treatments? It is recommended to follow a balanced diet and exercise regularly in order to achieve optimal results
while undergoing VelaShape™ treatments.
